Kevin Schumacher: “Light Cannot Exist Without Darkness” Kevin Schumacher is a fine art photographer and painter, based in the metro New York City area. At ten years old, he began shooting film under the guidance of his technically-trained uncle, eventually working in fashion, portraits, events and journalism. In the early 2000's, he progressed towards digital and his current style of hyperrealism was inspired by the grit, passion and artistry of 90's grunge, hip-hop, and club kid culture. Having worked with known organizations like Wilhelmina International Inc. and High Times Magazine, being featured in spaces such as Brooklyn Art Cave, Ward-Nasse Gallery, Times Square Lobby Gallery, and Center for Digital Arts. Schumacher's current works are shown at Death of Caesar Gallery and Keep Creating Corp in Downtown Montclair, NJ.
